Pastor Sam Gbenro , pioneering pastor of NCC ,Ohio received the vision for this ministry whilst waiting on God at a retreat with his wife Titi in Scotland ,United Kingdom in November of 1998.

God spoke to the church leadership in the UK in February of 2000 and subsequently the entire church in the UK at a joint celebration meeting ,sent forth Pastor Sam and his family to begin this God ordained new work in Columbus ,Ohio in March of 2001.

New Covenant Church of Ohio held its first worship meeting at the Dublin Recreation Center on August 5th 2001 and was launched officially on the 12th of November 2001 by Rev. Timothy Kolade ,the National Overseer of NCC in the UK.
